All this to say that I grew up a lucky child, surrounded by family who loved literature as much as I did. In the few decades we've been on this earth, we've amassed quite a collection of books, even having built our own small library in our guest house. There are probably close to a hundred novels stacked around here, several old encyclopedia sets, dozens of reference books, and hundreds of text books from our days in St. Scholastica's.
So now we have piles and piles of books lying around, and every so often, a new book gets added to the pile. We're now at risk of being classified as hoarders.
I'm sure many of my Kulasa friends have tons of old textbooks lying around. If you don't have any little sisters or brothers or cousins or neighbors who could use those books in the future, then please don't hesitate to head to one of the aforementioned drop-off points to donate your books!
This round of the Book Drive is open until June 28, so you have some time to gather your old books. You can also visit Global Shapers PH's Facebook page for photos of their completed projects. They're always announcing new projects and opportunities to give back to the community (without giving up chunks of your life), so it's good to check back every now and again.
