There are some great causes out there hoping to end farm animal cruelty altogether, and they're quite commendable too. I, for one, have immense respect for anyone who's able to distinguish that animals are people too, and that they deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, and at times, I really wish there was more I could do other than (try to) boycott fast food chains and sign petitions. Alas, I also recognize my own limitations, and I know that I can only do so much.
Some people, however, love animals so much that they end up becoming a living paradox.
"Most of the chickens were roaming around the house, and some were kept in cases inside and outside the house," said Lt. Eric Peterson of Plainville, CT. "A couple of the chickens were dead and some looked sick," he added. Now the couple is facing possible animal neglect charges.
I'm surprised these folks didn't end up on Confessions: Animal Hoarding.
