Ilunga is was they call people who aren't ashamed of forgiving twice, but put their foot down on the third offense. Kind of like a three-strike rule. And I think that in this day and age, this is something that we should all start striving to be.
Truth is, people will screw up. But we need to learn to trust others to learn from their own mistakes. If I had cut ties with everyone who's pissed me off at one point, then I probably wouldn't have as many brilliant friends as I do now. I know I've threatened to quite a few times, but I thought better of it, and I think I'm a better person for doing so as well.
There's another saying that goes, "there's no excuse for making the same mistake twice", and honestly, there isn't. Rafiki said, "You can either run from it, or learn from it."
